Describing words:
4 annotated images of lines
These lines are parallel are demonstrate distance. The lines continue right until the end of the image therefore are continuous and make the distance seem very long, and is if we are looking into the distance at the emptiness and how deserted the train track is which gives the idea that it is abandoned. This is quite a deep image.
The lines here are also parallel and represent order and also are a lead up to the main purpose of the image which is to show the windmill. The lines are straight rather than wonky as that could be misleading to what the purpose of the image is. This image displays a place of where life is possibly simpler. I think this image is aesthetically pleasing.
This images lines are diagonal and represent speed, it shows that the car is moving and because they are diagonal and because the image is diagonal we can assume that the car is going very fast. This picture to me shows a man in a rush or a man with an obsession with adrenaline. To me, this image is interesting.
This images main line is the wave upon the shore and it is a wavy line and continues until the very end of the picture making it continuous. The wavy line represents relaxation unlike a straight and narrow line which represents straight forwardness to me, and this is quite the oppostite. This image is nice to look at.
My own definition
Lines are found in everything as they can be straight, curvy, diagonal etc.
