a repeated decorative design.
Describing words:
- broken
- chronological
- even
- linear
- stripy
- checkered
- tie-dyed
This image has a chronological pattern associated with number and colour. The colours go from red, to green, to yellow and the repeat. The numbers go from 2, to 3, to 4 and then back down again in order. This image represents order. I don't find this image very good to look at because its boring and doesn't show much to me.
The pattern used in this image is linear. This image is made up of various lines of various colours. The pattern is very simple but quite nice to look as although not much is happening within the image, the picture is completely took up by one pattern.
This image is checkered if you look at the pattern of the flooring. This could also be seen as even as it is continuous. The pattern only becomes broken when the floor hits the bike wheel and drain, apart from that it is quite repetitive. I like this image.
This image shows a tie dye pattern which is quite even as each circle fits inside another. This image is eye catching because not only is it bright but the pattern directs you to the middle of the image which is a world peace sign which gives the image a purpose and something they want the audience to see. I like this image.
My own definition:
Repetition of shapes within an image.
