Guy Bourdin.
A french photographer who is most known for his fashion photography and his work for Vogue.
1928-1991.

Helmut Newton. 
A german photographer who is most know for his fashion photography which was more than often erotic.
1920-2004.


Diane Arbus. 
An american photographer who captured images of those who were deviant and marginal people (considered freaks). She often used black and white square photos. "The camera can be a little bit cold, a little bit harsh"
1923-1971. 


Elliot Erwitt. 
A french photographer who was considered to be quite humorous with his images. he tended to juxtaposition his form and dogs. (Juxtaposition-the fact of 2 things being seen or placed close together with contrasting effect)

Nick Knight. 
A british photographer who shot fashion all over the world and featured in Vogue. He used differing techniques and forms and was often known for being cutting edge.

Garry Winogrand. 
An american photographer who shot street photography and was thought to be the 'pioneer'. He didn't tend to use the view finder of the camera and that became his trademark within the photography world. 
1928-1984.


Stephen Shore.
An american photographer whose photography was based on a never ending road trip through America. His photography is very easy to copy therefore many have tried.

Steven Meisel. 
An american fashion photographer who's images reference the history of photography and style. In my eyes however he uses extraordinary situations with his models.

Weegee.
An Austrian photographer who's photos were made possible due to the fact he had a police radio in his car and would visit a crime scene before the police did.

Duane Michals. 
An american photographer who used text and collage within his photographs which created context, known as both a photographer and a communicator.

Helen Levitt.
An american photographer who took pictures of children playing and the street life in America, a photographer I 
like because her images are very natural.

Jacques Henri Lartigue.
A French photographer who took pictures of every day french life, he started as a young boy. Another photographer I like as his pictures seem very natural.

Bert Stern.
An american photographer who is most known for his pictures of Marilyn Monroe and his pictures of her with ruffled hair and wild abandon. I photographer I like due to his display of reckless beauty, mainly because of his photos of Marilyn.

Josef Hoflehner. 
An Austrian photographer of landscapes and city scapes who uses tone within his image, I like this photographer as when he photos are turned black and white for tone it seems to make them look to have a deeper meaning than what they possibly are, they become quite reflective.

Todd Hido. 
An american photographer that photographs houses at night which gives them a scary, more so spooky vibe to them, however they are intriguing as there is a light on within the houses indicating life which creates questions for the audience about those who have the light on.

Carlos and Jason Sanchez. 
Two Canadian photographers whom are brothers, within their photos they try to display a story which I like as I believe it makes a photo much more interesting as it leaves you trying to figure out who,what why and when.

Bert Teunissen. 
A Dutch photographer who captures domestic landscapes, he says his photos show light and how natural daylight illuminates certain parts of a domestic interior, however for me his work shows differing home situations and different types of home across Europe.

Boogie.
A Serbian photographer who captures people living in harsh conditions ranging from drug addicts, skinheads and gang members. I like this photographer as even those his pictures are shocking they are interesting to look at as they don't focus on the beauty of the World like most photographers.

Peter Funch. 
A photographer from Denmark whose pictures are interesting because in the beginning his pictures seem like ordinary street pictures, however when you look at second glance you notice there is a similarity that is consistent within. I like this photographer.

Lori Nix. 
An american photographer who uses miniature models to create her photos, most of her photos display disaster, within other pictures it leaves the audience wondering what has happened which is very interesting for the audience.
